Most the trail is intermediate, but due to the sheer length and some stout climbs, this is not an easy route. A lot of hikers like use it as a backpacking trip and include other trails as a loop. Some hikers like to hike up from the dirt access road to a little spur trail that takes you to a B-17 Airplane crash site.
