All forest roads of different states of service. North of Holmes road, it gets minimal maintenance and is growing in in some areas, but still capable of supporting future forestry operations. South of Holmes to Grassy Hill Road, it is an excellent gravel road that is well-maintained and had had recent drainage work. Open to vehicles 8 AM to sunset and closed in winter until mud season ends. South of Grassy, the road on State property to to trail to Whistletown Road, the trail is closed to vehicles but has had some gravel laid down, but areas are washed out with sections of loose gravel and soft sand. East of the Blue/White trail junction is one of the nicest stretches of the trail. Ledges, boulders, dense mountain laurel stands, at least one cellar hole and some impressive stone walls that may have been part of a stock pen.
