This 7 km trail is a old logging access road that is primarily used by ATVs. Park at the junction of the road and Highway 16 East. Ride North, downhill past old camper, over bridge and past the yellow gate to the East. Next, follow a flat to rolling trail up slope through a second growth Spruce-Balsam fir stand, then a long corridor lined with Aspen and Cottonwoods. Take the road heading north, up slope. This section ascends the West side, then bends to the North. The upper slope of Green Mountain is covered by mature Douglas fir and some Spruce-Balsam. When the trail runs out (near an old Western Red Cedar tree that has fallen over, walk a couple hundred meters south to the summit of the hill).
Service Road Atlas is a free to use, community-driven service for viewing and creating reports on the numerous back-country service roads around B.C. and Alberta.
