Follow the narrow gravel road (Greenacres St) up until you reach a private property fence (about 500m up). Track signs will be visible on the right with an old bench for a quick stop if needed.
The trail starts winding up through old pine, marcocarpa and remnant native bush. As you progress up the trail, a mountain bike trail will start to intersect with the main pathway.
Towards the top, the track transitions into open farmland with views of MacAndrew Bay and the Otago harbour.
From Dunedin, travel along Portobello Road to MacAndrew Bay. Once at MacAndrew Bay, turn right down Greenacres Street and park at the large blue gums before the no caravans past this point sign.
