The Greene River Trail follows the Monongahela River through the coal mining region of Greene County. The trail starts in Millsboro at the Greene Cove Yacht Club trailhead and continues south along the river through Rices Landing to end along Crucible Road in Crucible. It offers scenic views of the Mon River and surrounding wooded areas. They plan to eventually extend the trail another 9 miles to Nemacolin, PA.
The trail surface is crushed limestone and is ideal for walking, running, and biking. Parking is available at both the Greene Cove Yacht Club and Rices Landing trailheads.
Please contact the Greene County Department of Parks & Recreation for more information (724-852-5323).
No motor vehicles are permitted. There are yellow poles installed at each trailhead and road crossings to help prevent unauthorized access from ATV's or motorized vehicles. The gaps between the poles are narrow, so you may want to walk your bike through them.
Parking is available at both the Greene Cove Yacht Club and Rices Landing trailheads.
