NOTE Major new updates to repair, improve drainage and re-routes during summer of 2025. Honeycomb Trail provides a multi - use experience for hikers, bikers, and trail runners, bird watchers and other wildlife observers . The 8 - mile trail goes from Honeycomb Creek Campground to Guntersville Dam and passes through the 274 - acre Honeycomb Creek Small Wild Area. It winds past numerous limestone outcrops and is characterized by upland hardwoods and old growth, short leaf Virginia and loblolly pines. Sinkholes, caves, and other karst features are also present. This trail winds along the shoreline featuring wetlands that provides birdwatching opportunities and views of Guntersville Reservoir.

West / Dam side trailhead is behind pavilion at tree line.
East / Honeycomb Campground side trailhead is a small gravel parking lot on right just outside of the campground gate.
Hunting is allowed in private property areas just north of the trail
