The trailhead is located at the junction where Mt Lowe Road, Middle Sam Merrill Trail, and the trail to Inspiration Point meet. From this intersection, Idlehour Trail goes east and down. This is some nice singletrack and an alternative to the other trails around. There is a nice climb out from Idlehour Campground, and the trail can get thin and overgrown but it is rideable. Use the Mt. Wilson Toll Road, through Henninger Flats, to exit onto Pinecrest Drive in Altadena.
This trail can also be ridden in the opposite direction.
Trail is 4.5 miles
