Short trail from the Jessie Wright Segment of the North Umpqua Trail to the Illahe flat area. Trail climbs through a burned area to the flat. Trail surface is mostly smooth. Some forest canopy remains after the fire. The trail makes for a nice out and back side trip if you are riding on the North Umpqua Trail.
To get to the upper end of the trail, take highway 138 E from Roseburg. Drive for 47 miles to Forest Road 4760. Turn left onto Forest Road 4760 and drive 2 miles to Forest Road 4760-039. Turn right and continue approximately 0.1-mile to Illahee Flat. The trailhead parking area is across from the Illahee Gazebo.
The lower end of the trail is accessed approximately 1.5 miles up the Jessie Wright Segment, which starts at milepost 50 of Highway 138.
