The Intake trail follows the perimeter of the Mill Creek Watershed and it was formerly possible to follow the trail all the way to the intake for the Walla Walla water supply at the end of Mill Creek Rd. It was also possible to link the trail to Blacksnake and Lewis Peak Roads. Unfortunately, access to the these roads and the lower section of the trail is now blocked by a private landowner who will not allow access to a section of the trail that crosses his property. The trail now can only be legally utilized as an out-and-back trail starting from Kendall Skyline Road. It features some steep and rocky sections that will require most cyclists to hike-a-bike.
