Famous, well groomed multi-use trail that leads back into the forest to a crashed B-23 bomber from over 50 years ago. Trail is very smooth, flowy, with steady climbs throughout. There are a few intersections that are all very well marked.
Note that if you want to access the bomber its on the South side of the lake, and that last mile of trail is rocky and common with several down trees so it can turn into a hike a bike at times. Many take a bike lock and drop bikes off and hike it in on last mile or so. The bomber sits in a marshy grassy area so early in the season expect sloggy approach.
Trailhead is well marked from the Chinook campground located on Secesh River that is roughly a 45 minute drive north of McCall, Idaho
