This old horse packer's trail links the road and trails on Moose Mountain with the road and trails from West Bragg and Station Flats. A number of tight, steep switchbacks throw in some technical challenge in either direction. It makes for a rip-roaring descent; just watch out and yield to other trail users.

Moose Packers drops you straight into the Ridgeback trail at the foot of the hill (by the Shell valve site). Both trails are maintained by the Calgary Mountain Bike Alliance.

The awesome Moose Packers loop begins at Station Flats, and then goes: Sulphur Springs, Pneuma, Moose Packers, Ridgeback R4, R3, R2, R1.

Access Info

From the top, access is by the Kananaskis Fire Lookout trail or Pneuma. From the bottom, you can get there from Ridgeback, Snakes & Ladders, or the access road from West Bragg Creek.
