Built by the CCCMB in 1996, Morning Glory is more technically challenging than nearby Shooters, but not as difficult as Pick and Shovel or The What Trail.

Descending Morning Glory, you will first encounter narrow, rocky singletrack with multiple switchback turns. Go left at the intersection with Double Bypass (there is now a nice new sign pointing you in the right direction at the intersection), and you'll descend shortly to an abrupt and steep creek crossing, followed by a small climb. The trail soon turns back downhill and continues winding through tall brush, across (usually) dry creek beds, and through various rock gardens, with a few more punchy little climbs thrown in along the way. Upper Botanical trail combined with Morning Glory is one of the most popular descents in San Luis Obispo, and rightfully so.
