The Mount Disappointment Road leads to the summit of Mount Disappointment, a former Nike missle site and current home to some radio installations. The road is paved for it's length, but has many potholes and can be very icy in winter. The Bill Reiley Trail crosses the road in places, and near the summit a connector to the San Gabriel Peak Trail goes east from a large flat area.
This road is closed to public motor vehicles, but service vehicles occasionally travel here. Keep alert, especially when descending.
