The Mount Crowther Track winds through the Harry Todd Recreation Reserve in Wainuiomata. As a firebreak, the track is quite wide but can be very steep in places and slippery after rain. The track begins at Sunny Grove and connects to Harry Todd Track.
Starting at Sunny Grove is advisable in wet conditions to reduce the risk of slipping on the steeper sections as heading uphill in this location is easier than walking down the slippery surface. Once the track reaches Mount Crowther Trig and other high points, it levels out along a ridgeline where it connects to Harry Todd Track and Mckerrow Ridge Track.
