This trail winds to the top of Mount Eddy. The views of Mount Shasta and the surrounding mountains are definitely worth the hike. Speaking of the hike, it is challenging as you reach 9000 ft. The Forest Service has posted no bike signs and had them removed; if this continues there is a likelihood the entire Deadfall Lakes Trail (aka a part of the Sisson-Callahan NRT) may be lost to MTB's.
This is a no-bike trail!!! The switchback turns are in loose material and have been eroded out by bikes See the USFS Interactive Visitor map.
