Popular hike in the area because it is close to town (no drive up the canyon) and it allows dogs at it is not inside the watershed. The trail starts on a wide, almost double track and is pretty easy to start. Follow the trail around the bend into the canyon and then it starts to feel more like a real hike trail, with some minor loose shale, and steeper ascent. There are several little offshoot tracks where people hike down to the creek or to the first spring, but the main trail is pretty easy to follow.
There are multiple springs along the trail, the main one being Neffs Spring, which is nice to have water access all year round.
The parking lot and trailhead is at the end of White Way, which appears to be a deadend street. But there is a nice little loop and parking area for the trail.
