Old Narrows primarily follows the original road bed before the modern 192 was built, but that doesn't mean its doubletrack. The majority of the trail is a rolling singletrack with short punchy climbs and a few rock gardens. There are numerous driveways that cross the trail, so be on the look out for red blazes and you'll know you are on the right trail.
The trail can be ridden in either direction, although east to west seems to be the preferred route.
