Piggy Back is a moderately technical trail with several switchbacks, traversing the steep hillside. The trail is suitable for confident intermediate riders and above. The trail surface is generally firm, hard-packed and, other than the steep switchbacks, it has no significant technical obstacles. The trail can be ridden in both directions.
At its lower end the trail can be accessed off Hog Back or Violet's Outback, via the Hog Back/Violets Outback Connector. At the top it connects with the top end of Hog Back and the Hog Back / Sidewinder Access Trail.
