“The Playground” is Stromlo’s answer for riders needs to develop and test their skills.

The trail consists of a 2.5km loop which features 12 separate skills learning areas. The trail is designed to be ridden as a continuous loop, or for each individual skills station to be used to work on a specific skill.

Featuring North Shore bridges, see-saws, jumping areas, rhythm sections, wall rides and other unique features, the trail has proven to be hugely popular with Stromlo’s mountain bikers of all abilities and ages.

The trail is also a great loop for riders to test demo bikes, acts as a dedicated skills coaching area for clubs, and serves as a guide for riders who are unsure as to what their ability level is.

A huge thank you needs to be said to the partners and sponsors of this inaugural project – Makin Trax, Trek Bicycles, Capital Hotel Group, CORC (Canberra Off Road Cyclists), ONYA Bike and Cre8ive. Without their support, The Playground would not exist.
