The Prairie Link trail links [surprise] the Powderface Creek and Prairie Creek trails. Most people ride it from south to north, maximizing the descent/fun. From the south it climbs on a smooth, wide track that begs for a bit of head-to-head competition with your buddies. At the first "summit" drop yer saddle and let it rip down the other side - it's fun, fast and loose. A short climb gets you to the second summit, and then the looooong way down to Prairie Creek. The area has changed a lot over the years, and there are a whole bunch of drainage channels that allow for air and/or vicious faceplants. Yeah! Popping out of the trees into a meadow means you're at the bottom - cross the bridge and you're on Prairie Creek trail. Go right to head back to Powderface trailhead and Hwy 66.
Watch for hikers, cows and horses.
