This is the typical access trail for looping Garnet. Begins on a road, then hop over the pile of rocks at the parking lot where it becomes 2track. Mostly moderate climbing, but there are 2 really steep loose pushes. If you are on an e-bike, dirt bike or ATV, this is your route to the top of Garnet once it opens. It is a good loop or partial shuttle for MTB also. Open to Motorized use June 16.

Access Info

Storm Castle Road has 3 gates which open May 16th, June 16th and July 16th. If on MTB, parking at the Storm Castle/Garnet Mtn NRT is the spot for a loop, or continue 3.7 mi further and take the slight right to Rat Lake.
