This is an amazing run to continually repeat and challenge yourself on. Roots is a tight, twisty trail with several challenges. While mainly a downhill trail travel is in both directions and the trail is a challenging technical climb, but only when the parking lot is empty. Climbing on the weekends is not recommended. The trail is not rideable in wet weather and due to the tree cover can take several extra days to dry.
