This trail is the main climb for the park to access other trails and is hiking (multi-directional) and biking uphill only. From the trailhead, the trail climbs continuously but gently zig-zagging across the gulch wall for 2 miles and reaches the Hub, a saddle about half way up the trail with a spectacular view of Clear Creek. At the Hub hikers can either turn around and return to the trailhead or continue gently climbing uphill 2 more miles to the top of the mountain. Bikes can also continue climbing Rosa Gulch to access the bike-only downhill trail Drop Shaft located at the top of the mountain. The views from the top of Rosa Gulch trail are worth the hike. Hikers must return down the Rosa Gulch trail from the top. Hikers can also access the 10 Day Jacks hiking-only trail from the Hub. Hikers and Bikes can also access the Buttermilk Peak climbing trail from the Hub area. Bikes can access the advanced Tectonic downhill bike-only trail from the Hub.
