In recent years the Rotary Ride has been upgraded to improve the surface and gradients. It is however, a mountain bike track suitable for mountain bike riders. Inexperienced riders on unsuitable bikes will need to be prepared to walk the steeper sections.

Allow a leisurely 2-3 hours to complete the 5.5km trail from Spa Park to Huka Falls and back; or 5-6 hours if you choose to continue on to the Aratiatia Dam, which is another 7km along the river.

Trail deviates in areas from the map when returning to Spa Park from Huka Falls, but is very easy to follow. The trail is a two way track so take care on blind corners.Park map no 2
