The definition of flow: Rude Rock Trail. Perfeclty sculupted to follow the contours of the mountain, this trail starts just above the base buildings at Coronet Peak Ski field and finishes just before the skippers canyon access road.
Best suited to an AM 6"~ travel bike, but minimal pedalling is required to have a great time on your DH bike and as a bonus it's really easy to shuttle
PLEASE AVOID RIDING DURING/RIGHT AFTER RAIN OR SNOW AS THE TRAIL IS CLAY BASED AND GETS DAMAGED.
CAUTION REQUIRED ON WINDY DAYS, AVOID OPTIONAL JUMPS/DROPS ON EXPOSED RIDGELINES.
Simply head up the Coronet Peak access road(about 10-15mins from Queenstown) and park at the base buildings. Looking at the ski field ride left along the 4wd/Cat track 50m until you hit an up hill 4wd road, follow that up and around for about 50m, you will then enter a small valley, on your left you will see the start of the trail (Note: The sign for the trail is located about 10m into the start on small rise.)
