Skookum Flats Trail is one of the showcase river trails in the PNW. It includes old growth, great viewpoints and challenging riding. Lots of ups and downs, roots, a few rock gardens, punchy climbs, a creek crossing, and skinny contouring trails segments. Most people ignore the south 1 mile out and back by the airstrip. In the summer, nearby campers turn it into a toilet paper obstacle course. You can do an out and back or include the White River Trail and make it a loop. It is a popular trail so expect to see people and pets. HINT: The first mile of either end of this trail is the easiest. If you are having trouble here - turn around.
