Nice flowing singletrack with some topography: sustained climb if you're "westbound" or ripping descent if you're "eastbound".
Climbers: catch your breath at one of the several fantastic overlooks of the Duluth/Superior harbor.
Descenders: check your speed. Some of the berms are too tight to completely let go of the brake leavers and they also tend to drop out from underneath you a bit.
SIDE NOTE: Valley Girl - a double black diamond - is an alternate line to Skyline and the lower portion of it has some of Duluth's most gnarly trail...with a 30' bedrock roll-down and lots of chunky roots. COGGS recommends body armor for this portion.
