Part of the Great Western Trail. Climbs out from Pineview reservoir up to the top ridges of the range and can be ridden towards Lewis Peak or North Ogden Divide. The climb is not particularly steep but is unrelenting and is quite a grind. The descent is fast and flowy. The trail is pretty smooth and manicured, particularly as you approach Pineview.
The parts of the trail that are on the "backside" stay quite wet so be aware of that is it has been rainy or snowy recently.

Access Info

The trail can be accessed from Windsurfer Beach at Pineview Reservoir. When coming from Ogden, head up Ogden Canyon and turn left to cross the dam. The trailhead parking lot is about 1.5 miles from the dam on the lake side of the road. The trail starts at the back of the parking lot and immediately crosses the highway.
