This road is suitable for most vehicles up until about the last mile, where you need a high clearance vehicle to make it up to the lake. Many vehicles choose to park off the side of the road close to the start of the Trail to Storm Lake (plenty of room), and either walk up the trail or the road to the Lake.
Winter: Snowmobile route SNO-8355.
