Sun Run trail at Calumet County Park was built in 2019 and is the first of several phases of a project to restore singeltrack trails at Calumet County Park. The name "Sun Run" is a tribute to the WORS race that was held at this park several years ago.

It is a beginner trail with a few small unavoidable rocks. The segment nearest the ledge has more rocks to navigate, and is more of an intermediate segment.

Access Info

Trailhead is at the end of the upper Calumet County Park road - off of County Highway EE.

Recent snow had mostly melted but dirt was still frozen. Had a great ride even though the bike ended up a mess from the melting snow.

Perfect condition. Hard packed and grippy with no ice, feels almost as fast as dirt.
