Sheltered by the trees you'll forget you're paralleling the highway and realize there is a constant climb as you follow a windy path made soft by years of pine needle buildup. Nothing overly technical and a good warmup for the trails in Alice Lake if you're starting from Brackendale. Be aware of dogs and owners walking the trail as this is a favorite walking trail for residents of the nearby neighborhoods.
Access Info
Riding the Ray Peters gravel trail north along the highway do not take any of the turnoffs which head into the open area. Instead wait for the trees and look for an entrance on your left that then slaloms to the right through a few trees about 5 meters after the coniferous trees begin.
