Unlike the name suggests this is a very challenging trail. It is at it's best when it's wet and is very slick, steep and rocky in places.
Access Info
Easiest way to find it is by riding up the fire road from the Hermitage take your first right onto a walking path that runs parallel to the A9. You meet the end of the DH trail at a fire road and continue up the walkers path to the left and rejoin the uplift road for the DH Trail. Continue past the point where the DH trail crosses the fire road taking care not to get run over. The fire road swings round to the left and continues straight up and before you meet the fork in the fire road keep an eye out on the right for the Bat Cave trail which is the way down to the Blue Route. After you drop out the Bat Cave turn left on the track over the stream and then Right into the Blue route. You can either find your way back up for another go or return via the fire road by heading down the hill and taking the first right fork in the fire road to take you back to the bottom of the Dh trails.
