The Doctor, named after DoC (Department of Conservation) This trail is in a mix of exotic, native and open landscape. Build with funds from the Outdoor Recreation Consortium, which helped Mana Cycle Group to fell wilding pines and replace the damaged walking trail with a suitable multi use trail that is now The Doctor.
In winter 2016 the Mana Cycle Group (MCG) held a planting bee in effort to regenerate the native forest to the area that used to host exotic pesty pine trees.
So if you see someone from DoC or MCG on your travels, don't forget to show your support for the outstanding work
From the Spicer Botanical Park, cross the ford and find on your right.
At the top from Boundary Road off Farm Road (main 4X4 road).
