The majority of this trail has existed since the 90s and was originally used by the True Wheels bike shop to access the "Otis" trail network. It serves as an off-road connection between the "Otis" and Four Ponds/Pocasset Town Forest trail networks. A short section was rerouted to remain on land owned by the State of Massachusetts and is part of the public roadway Route 28. On the south end of this trail, users should remain off the roadway, between the guardrail and the No Trespassing signs until the trail leads into the woods. While this trail is not within the boundaries of Joint Base Cape Cod according to MassGIS, there have been conflicting opinions expressed. With this knowledge, ride this trail responsibly.
