Yes, this trail does take you across Tumble Falls on a beautiful wooden bridge, making for a great photo opportunity. The trail surface is improved so it holds up well during the rainy season, with inspiring views of majestic trees and active creeks; a resident owl has been sighted in the area so keep a sharp lookout This trail is used primarily as a climbing route to get back to the top of Shady Lane or to the trailhead. When making your way up and out of the canyon, watch for the intersection at Spring Canyon Spring Loop (hiking only) and make sure to stay on Tumble Falls.
Please be courteous and yield to pedestrians and ascending mountain bikers. Ride in control at all times, we're all outside, hoping to enjoy ourselves!
Metro parks do not allow dogs because unfortunately our canine friends are perceived as predators; impacting wildlife behavior, nesting, and feeding patterns. Please leave your pooch at home when riding at Newell Creek Canyon Nature Park. Thank you!
