Turtleback is part of Allatoona Creek Park. Turtleback was the park's first trail, opening on May 19, 2011. It was the first purpose-built mountain bike trail in Cobb County, and its success was a pivotal step in the sport's growth in West Georgia.
The loop is a flowing singletrack with fun features and a few tight turns thrown in to keep you on your toes. The trail includes several rock features, multiple bridges, berms and dips. Turtleback Loop has beginner elevations with intermediate features making it a good choice for beginners with improved skills and conditioning.
Those on foot should travel in the opposite direction of cyclists, and are asked to yield to cyclists using the trails. The trail may close due to wet conditions. Please check mtbatlanta.com for the current trail status.
