One of the first trails developed in the Shuniah Mines area of Trowbridge Forest. This intermediate level trail traverses a small ridge line and consists of small punchy climbs, tight loose corners and technical descents. All of the tread on the trail is hand tooled and left very natural. Riders can expect plenty of rocks and roots. Two small ladder bridges span spring creek crossings.
Upper 2k is a classic 'old school' Shuniah Mines trail that pays respect to the riders and builders of the late 90s.
*NEW* Plans are currently underway to rehabilitate the Upper 2K area. Rides will notice multiple changes to the area over the course of the 2017-2018 seasons. While many of the eroded hills will be remove, the plans call for the area to maintain it's 'old-school' Shuniah feel.
