This is probably the most popular hike at this difficulty level in the Wasatch. It is close to town, has amazing views, there are multiple waterfalls, and there is a beautiful reservoir at the top in a big rock cirque. It doesn't get much better, and you pay for it in steepness and terrain.

The great thing about this hike, is that you can start with the Lower Bell Canyon Reservoir trails, which are many and you can do lots of little loops. Even the lower hike starts high up on the bench, so if you want to do a quick hike with the kids near town and still see water with a great view of the valley you can. Or you can hike up to the first waterfalls, which are little less than half way to the top. The hardest are mostly past the waterfalls, so prepare well, and only go as far as you feel comfortable.

Dry until the falls. Above the falls, it becomes wet, and eventually snow covered. You might be able to get a glimpse of a backcountry skier in...

Top 1 mile is covered in snow still. Can make it with some crampons.

Still very doable but you’re hiking up a stream bed for a couple of the miles. The high water is utilizing the hiking trail as overflow.
