Top portion of the Mica Flow trail. Riding the DNR (California Creek) trail to "Moonshine" road climb and "Rolling Stone" plan for about 1 hour to get to the drop in of Upper Silicate Slide. The first part is steep, exposed and drys out quick. Look before you leap.

Access Info

From the Belmont Rd trail head take the road to the right and following the California Creek trail (mix of road and single track) up to the "Moonshine" road. Turn and stay on the road all the way until rounding a corner and seeing the head wall. Continue uphill looking for an old road that takes off to the the right (south). After another 1/4 mile along this road you'll see the drop in for the trail.
