From the intersection with Raven’s Ridge and the Wilderness boundary, head downhill towards the Ski Santa Fe base. The trail is very fast and wide but there are several gotcha moments to watch out for. Riding upper Winsor is only typically done by having descended Raven’s Ridge, as there is really no specific point to climbing on a very steep trail up to the Wilderness boundary and then descending back to the parking lot. Also this section of trail is very popular with hikers so be careful and courteous. From the Ski area base, one connect with the rest of the Winsor trail and/or branch off and descend Rio en Medio for a heavy duty day in the backcountry.
