Primo tratto del sentiero Matilde di Canossa che parte da Vico di Ciano d'Enza per arrivare alla rupe di Canossa. Primo ed ultimo tratto su carraia ghiaiata, tratto intermedio su bel single track a mezzacosta (tecnico se affrontato in sella) e su praterie in falso piano. Nell'ultimo tratto ho apportato la deviazione sul sentiero dei Ducati con passaggio da Riverzana poichè troppo impegnativo da affrontare il S.M. in quel tratto di salita (single track tecnico nel bosco e su calanco), consigliatissimo (ma impegnativo) invece se si affronta in discesa.

Dalla rotonda in corrispondenza del cavalcavia ferroviario di Ciano d'Enza, si prende la strada verso monte seguendo i cartelli "sentiero Matilde".

Tratto asciutto e ben pedalabile. Quasi assenti le zone fangose, presenti appena nel sottobosco ma a quel livello ne migliorano perfino l'aderenza.
