Wigwam trail departs from Shirley's trail and carries you up to very near the summit of Wigwam hill, where a state fire tower is located, and then flows back downhill to rejoin Shirley's trail. At one point the trail passes along a narrow ledge where caution is required. It is believed that the hill takes it's name from being the last place a genuine Indian lived in a wigwam.
Wigwam trail has posted signs at each end where it departs and returns to Shirley's trail.
