The route starts at 2800ft on Plaskett Rd. This is where private property signs are seen if you go beyond this point. The first mile is a difficult traverse on a thin tread. Some pushing is required to get up short climbs, and some walking is recommended to get down some steep areas, at least one steep area seems to be unridable down a steep rocky ridge for about 100ft. Two other steep sections may be ridable (I did one and thought I was done for).
After 1 and a quarter mile,, at elev 1860, the route meets the Willett trail, this is a single track which has a few down trees as of this writing but otherwise is an excellent ride through the redwoods. Don't miss the point where the route leaves the ridgeline at elev 2240, if you do you will on more of a wild adventure.
THIS IS PRIMITIVE UNTIL IT REACHES THE WILLET TRAIL
