New trail combination with an interesting, partly built start part and a steep and rooty exit on a marked hiking trail. "Unfortunately" there is some techy (off camber) climbing in the middle (ca. 20m elevation gain).
Start on top of Churzenberg @ point 1199. After 10m, a diagonal log leads into the north facing slope with 2 jumps following soon. After a traverse to the right the main feature follows with a gap jump and a jump over 2 big logs (can also be rolled). After a steep section an unmarked hiking trail is traversed to another "existing" trail leading around a hairpin down to the "Aebersold-to-Wintersite-road".
Here it is important NOT to start into the next section when somebody is around!! Go left on the road for 20m to a tree with a horizontal white line mark. 5m after the tree a steep indistinct trail branches off down to a tricky right turn leading to a ramp. This is followed by a long traverse with many off camber sections, not easy in wet conditions (which often prevail in this north facing slope in the not so dry Emmental ;-) !). At the end of this long mostly descending traverse a nasty 20m (elevation) climb with some up and downs leads back up close to the fence of the Wintersite field. After a tricky creek traverse fast and flowy riding follows down to a fire road. Follow the fireroad down to a junction and use the speed to climb (short!) up towards Brüegg. Follow the marked hiking trail along the Geissrügge down to Längeney. The last part is steep and rooty with a couple of stairs that can be passed mostly on the right. At the very end a tricky stair with a railing needs caution but is rideable (in the dry).
From Längeney there is a pleasant climb up the Wildeney Grabe road back up to Tanzplatz where either the Siehe or Bromi Trails can be reached.
Access from Aebersold up a steep concrete road and steep up the wood. when a flatter part of the logging road is reached, turn left at a wood stack and push the bike to point 1199.
You can also access the trailhead from Ringgis (funny restaurant with very good views, east of 1199), pushing the last part to 1199.
This trail is unsanctioned.
