A perfect beginner XC trail. Beautiful forest trail, small roots, few rocks, small features, nearly all with ride-around options.
(Difficulty rating note: Trail ranks "Green" for Squamish and Alice Lake area. IMBA Rating would be "Blue" for you out-of-towners).
Up: A smooth, steady, and serene XC connector from the highway up to the Alice Lake road, suitable for hard tail/XC/AM. (Roots & sloppy sections appear readily in wet seasons/sustained rainy days - marked change in difficulty for new riders).
Down: An extra-light and sparse pump track feel when riding down (but watch for other riders/walkers/climbers). A few small bridges (2' wide), and number of optional low-altitude (6"-12") skinnies, all with ride-arounds, and a handful of small berms.
Decline is perfect to keep your momentum at a reasonable pace, requires little pedaling or braking.
Watch for climbers at the big boulder!
