Woodtick is a common name in Wolcott area and that goes back to the name of a village in Wolcott that was one of three in the Tunxis Sachemdom. Some of the roads used by this trail date back to 1753 and the small cemetery near Woodtick Road dates to 1776.
The Tunxis Trail network is the only one that uses colored dots in the distinctive blue blaze to mark the many side trails.
Service Road Atlas is a free to use, community-driven service for viewing and creating reports on the numerous back-country service roads around B.C. and Alberta.
