This is the upper portion of the York Trail. This section of trail begins with a short (10'?) wooden bridge across the creek, and then ascends several switchbacks up to Campus Drive and the Merritt College parking lot. The climb and switchbacks are moderate challenges, but not as steep as the fireroad. This is a nice way up for mountain bikes (unlike the lower section of York trail).
